you'd have to include some league settings that explains your pitching situation
When asking for roster advice in these pages, remember there are thousands of different sets of league rules & many different active roster settings. If you want the best replies, be sure to include your leagues particulars in the original post

I'm all for waiting until the end to get your relievers, but you don't appear to have a single expected closer. Which is fine, as long as you intended to do so.

Offense looks good overall. I have questions about a couple of the back-end bench players you picked up (Vlad, Davis, Barmes, and Matsui all scare me too much to even think about them, even at just a buck), but nothing that can't be explained by "we all have our gut feelings". I suspect you overpaid for Harper (Unless its a keeper league, in which case you probably have a bargain). I'm in the same boat as you (auction newbie this year).

Pitching seems uneven, perhaps a little thin.
As of 8/4/13
C:Napoli 1B:Goldshmidt 2B:Kinsler, Gyorko SS:Tulo, Profar 3B:Longoria, Machado, Middlebrooks OF:Harper, J. Upton, AGon, R. Davis, Venable SP:Scherzer, Minor, Ryu, E.Santana, Beachy, Samardzja, J.Johnson (DL), T.Ross RP:Perez, Rodney, Farquar
