In our league, it's an auction league. We have a $26 cap and we can keep all the players we can/want so long as we are under the cap and have enough spending money to bid on players we need for our active roster. We then pick our reserve players via draft, with a draft order of last to first in every round on how the standings finish the previous year.

As for as keeping closers, this year was the first year I opted NOT to keep a closer. That allowed me to spend that money on my keeping additional bats and starting pitching. I target what cheap saves guys that are out there that are not kept and, since we cound holds, top guys such as Venters/Clippard/Walden that could land the closer job as Walden did. I think not keeping closers is something I will continue to do since it's such a volitle stat.
