His glove is best suited for the corner outfield, but LaRatard has show the willingness to use him a 2B (earlier in the year) and now a little in CF.
He didn't look great at 2B and usually gets removed after 3 AB for a defensive replacement. I guess he could get 4-5 games a week between CF, 2B, and spotting the two corner outfield spots. Earlier in the year when Freese was out they put Craig in right, Berkman at 1B, and Pujols at 3B. He might be able to sneak another few starts in that way if/when Freese needs a day off. Pujols owners would love that, as 1 more start gives Pujols 3B elig (in Yahoo at least).
From what I've noticed LaRussa is very hesitant to put him at 2B, especially with any kind of ground ball pitcher on the mound. Guess he figures it's not worth the tradeoff.
