If you can play 2 1st baseman like a utility spot then I would keep Votto. They are both studs and I dont think you can go wrong with either but I would stick with Votto if you can play Miggy and Votto but if you can only play one go with Longoria.

Agree. Just to round out my positional strength, I'd go with Longoria. Thanks for helping with mine.

Votto is the better keeper.

That's my sense, too. But the ESPN keeper rankings has Longoria at 7 and Votto at 11, which makes me question things a bit.

I will always go with gut over rankings........... And in the grand scheme of things with the said rankings being so close, does it really matter?

You're right. Just looking for maximum value. In this same keeper league, three weeks into the season, I traded away Ryan Braun and Jose Reyes to get Hanley and Carl Crawford. I've been trying to make up for it all season-long.

And that was probably you getting caught up in rankings a bit............ I made a deal for Hanley in my keeper that I gave up Cruz a while back, hoping this year was a mirage. Also have Braun, and he's one player on my team that I don't consider trading.
