Isringhausen named closer! Worth owning?

Postby KaPluie » Fri Jul 15, 2011 5:21 pm

FYI, Isringhausen is first up as closer for the Mets. All those Mets fans out there, is he worth owning? Do you see him as more than just a temp closer? ... ser-friday

He's worth closing, to a degree. I'm ok with you dropping Nathan for him, since it's a guarantee Izzy will close, while who knows what's happening in Minnesota.

The situation in NY is temporary though--I do not see Izzy closing games for the Mets from now until late September. I think Izzy (as well as Beltran, and maybe a few others) are getting dealt within the next 2-3 weeks to "contenders". Parnell will close games for the Mets for most of August and September, in my opinion.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)
