Non-keeper 10 team league, 5x5.
As crazy as this sounds, should I lose Melancon for Lyon?
My other closers are Drew Storen, Joel Hanrahan, Jose Valverde and Andrew Bailey.

I wouldn't yet, as of right now Melancon is still the Closer. Lyon i think had maybe 8 save opertunities, blew 4 of them. I think until Melancon shows he cant handle the job, you stick with him. If HOU wants Lyon as thier man, I doubt they'll put him in that position right away, probably let him work up to that spot.

Unfortunately, if I wait much longer, he'll be gone... hence my dilemma... I have enough other closers that I could get by a week without Lyon closing; question is, what will he look like and will he be able to hold the job.

You have enough padding in the closer department to role with Melancon even when Lyon takes back the closer role. Lyon isn't a good closer and won't be HOU's closer for the whole season. You're better off sticking with Melancon through the bumps and waiting for him to take the role back.

Lyon was activated from the disabled list Thursday. Manager Bradley Mills said the veteran will regain his closer role but not right away; they plan to ease him in. Funny, the word "ease" hardly ever appears in the same sentence as Lyon.
