Trade Berkman for Peavy???

Postby noren0 » Wed Jun 08, 2011 11:20 pm

I have been offered Peavy for Berkman
This is a CBS 10 team H2H league
Believe it or not, Lind is available in my league. I could drop Bedard or Matusz to replace Berkman's bat
Here is my team:

C- R.Martin
1B- Pujols
2B- Utley
3B- A-Rod
SS- Reyes
OF- Quentin
OF- Pence
OF- Ellsbury
U- M.Stanton
SP- Price
SP- Greinke
SP- CJ.Wilson
SP- Gio Gonzales
SP- Oswalt
RP- K-Rod
RP- Street

C- Mauer
1B/OF- Berkman
SP- Scherzer
SP- Matusz
SP- Bedard
Its only a game

I feel like you can get a more reliable and less injury prone pitcher for Berkman right now. Peavy has looked good when healthy, but he doesn't seem to stay healthy.

Don't do it! Berkman should get you a lot more then Peavy.

Berkman provides you insurance at 2 positions and if and when Stanton goes on his cold streaks you need his bat and you have nice pitching depth already. Pass.

i agree with you. it's only a game. then again, i agree with all of the other posts about not taking peavy. i disagree with the thought that berkman is an elite bat anymore this season (at least not til august or later). i'd stand pat, if you can be patient with berkman to prove me wrong, or the other's right. 10 team league though, there must be a cornucopia of bats out there on the WW.

stand pat on that. you have a nice team as it is.

i will ring the bell on krod though....he's owed $17.5 mil or something if he goes over 55 innings....further, he's owed that even IF the mets can find a home for him. meaning he'll more likely than not end up as a set-up guy rental for a team with alot of money. thanks to bernie madoff, that's not the mets. click the link and keep your eyes peeled.

help with mine too?
