Advice or Encourgement needed!

Postby knittedmonkey » Sun May 22, 2011 9:08 pm

My Team has been in a downward spiral since Week 1. Ive made a few trades that at the time seemed like no-brainers but have all come back to bite me in the arse. My strength is in my arms, but Im still a pitcher short. Please advise if I should blow it up or stay the course and hope that my underachieving team wakes up.

My Team:
C- Avila
1B - Pujols (been garbage)
2B - Figgins (garbage) Thinking of dropping for D Barney.
3B - Aram (nothing aside from AVG)
SS - Tulo (mediocre)
OF - Morrison, Quentin, Joyce (carrying my offense, but still inconsistent)
UT- Brantley (picked up until Cruz healthy)
BN - NCruz
BN - DYoung
DL - KMorales (keeper)

SP - Cliff Lee, Verlander, Haren, T Hudson
RP - Santos, FFrancisco, Venters
DL - Beachy

Most of your lineup looks OK, I would drop Delmon Young and pickup Barney and start him, but keep Figgins around. Just my opinion hope it helps. Would you check out my post...Should I trade Brett Anderson and Vernon Wells for Carlos Beltran...thanks

Delmon young, i drafted sixth? fifth? dropped him 3 weeks ago and haven't looked back.

barney has been in a bit of a slump for the last two or three weeks; seems they're letting him play through it though (like they did his early may slump) and if he gets out of it, he's a consistent player (and eligable at ss too!). no power, but consistent AVG at the top of their order. he is a true rookie though, so he may be getting where he needs to elevate to the next level in regards the pitching he's facing.

Danny Espinosa on the nats has been tearing it up at second (not a bad line-up either what with werth and morse in there). Espinosa has some power too.

Justin Turner from the mets might be another power option at second (and third, if'n you need him there), but i've never used him....playing against my brother in three leagues where HE has him.

me too?
