Bedard or Kuroda?

Postby featsofstrength » Mon May 09, 2011 12:42 pm

I have Kuroda and am thinking of dropping him for Bedard. My thought is that my team has decent (not great) pitching and the potential upside of Bedard is worth the risk of injury.

10 team league, my other SP's:
Dan Hudson
Bud Norris
James Shields
Brett Anderson
Peavy (DL)

In this list, I do not see anyone else who can be dropped.

Other SPs on on WW who could be considered instead of Bedard:
Ervin Santana
Anibal Sanchez
Scott Baker
Brandon McCarthy

That is some decent SP on the WW. I would think about streaming them and not worry about picking up one individual guy. Play the match-ups or something. As for Bedard, he is looking good but not sure I would start him. But again if the match-up looked good, then i would probably would.

I wouldn't do it. He shouldn't go unowned in a 10-team league. Kuroda's numbers are more predictable. The reports are that Bedard has changed his approach on the mound; you can't expect the numbers that he had when he pitched for the Orioles. If I had to drop someone, it would drop Liriano.
