Granderson or Tabata?

Who would you rather have this year in a H2H league that counts singles, doubles, triples, homeruns...?

Tabata. If it was 3-4 years ago when Granderson was in his prime then it wouldn't be a question but he's been looking pretty sour for the past 2 years and I'd rather gamble on the upside of Tabata.

I like Tabata's upside, but it's not like Granderson is off to a terrible start. You realize he's got 6 HR and has 4 multihit games in the last 6? How is Granderson's upside any lower than Tabata's?

Granderson had an off-year moving to New York last season. He looks good this year, I would stick with him. He can hit 30 bombs in that park with solid other numbers in that lineup. Sure, Tabata looks good too, but Grandy also bangs out a lot of doubles and triples too.

I could make a case for either depending on what your team needs more.

Total hits: slight edge Tabata
Runs: probably close to even, slight edge to Grandy
SB: Big edge to Tabata
Power (HR/RBI): pretty big edge to Grandy.

If you've got power nailed down, Tabata's your guy. If you've got plenty of speed and need a little more pop, it's Grandy.

Mak1277 has got it right. This is essentially how I would break it down.
