Keeper - CarGo/Stubbs vs. Heyward/Hamels

Postby JoeMoney19 » Mon Apr 18, 2011 12:58 pm

Pretty typical keeper league, 12-team H2H, we can keep 8 each year.

Stats are:

I feel like it's a pretty even deal, but wanted to get a sanity check from some of you guys. I think it makes sense for my roster, but not sure if I'm getting good value. I recently dealt Kemp/Hanson for Holliday/Cruz, which is why my roster is a little imbalanced right now. Thoughts?

Rest of my roster:
C Miguel Montero, Ari C (Draft)
1B Miguel Cabrera, Det 1B (Kept)
2B Neil Walker, Pit 2B (Draft)
3B David Wright, NYM 3B (Kept)
SS Stephen Drew, Ari SS (Draft)
LF Matt Holliday, StL LF (Trade)
CF Shane Victorino, Phi CF (Draft)
RF Nelson Cruz, Tex RF, LF (Trade)
UTIL Carlos Gonzalez, Col LF, CF, RF (Kept)
UTIL Juan Pierre, CWS LF (Draft)
B Drew Stubbs, Cin CF (Draft)
B Nick Swisher, NYY RF (Draft)
B Brandon Belt, SF 1B (Draft)
B Alex Gordon, KC LF (FA)
DL Chase Utley*, Phi 2B (Kept)

P Michael Pineda, Sea SP (Draft)
SP Justin Verlander, Det SP (Kept)
SP Jaime Garcia, StL SP (Draft)
SP Ubaldo Jimenez*, Col SP (Kept)
RP Jordan Walden, LAA RP (FA)
B Colby Lewis, Tex SP (Draft)

i would do it just because heyward in the future will be an easy .310-40-100-100-20 guy and hamels will give depth in pitching your OF is stacked i would try to turn holliday or cruz for 2 decent closers

I like this deal, especially if CarGo loses his CF eligibility after this year.
