Looks like a solid team. I would snatch up Guillen in a heartbeat. The tough part there would be finding who you should waive. Tough to find a weak link. I would most likely suggest waiving a pitcher.

Herges is an intriguing choice. If you truly are concerned about your saves he would be a good pickup with Nen's questionable status. It appears that Nen will indeed start the season on the DL, making Herges an attractive choice.

"Giants GM Brian Sabean said yesterday that Robb Nen almost certainly will begin the season on the disabled list. Nen still hasn't resumed throwing off the mound since last week's setback. He is throwing off flat ground, but it appears that he'll miss at least the first week of the season. Matt Herges will fill in as San Francisco's closer. "

However, long term, it's a crap shoot. Will Nen stay healthy? If so, Herges value is drastically decreased.

Depending on your comfort level with your closers, personally I would rather have Guillen than Herges. Given that Lofton is not guaranteed PT once Bernie returns. Week two of season? Guillen adds plenty of pop to your already solid lineup.

"Phil Nevin started hitting off a tee yesterday and discarded his shoulder brace after several swings. "He didn't notice a difference," manager Bruce Bochy said. "He looked very good. He was pain-free. It gave us all even more optimism that he'll be ready Opening Day."

I would definitely play Nevin if he indeed will be ready.

Hope this helps and good luck! ... hp?t=42669
