Head-to-head keeper league with 10 teams

Categories: R, HR, RBI, SB, OB% / W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP

C Miguel Montero
1B Miguel Cabrera (Keeper)
2B Chone Figgins
3B Pablo Sandoval
SS Hanley Ramirez (Keeper)
OF Carlos Gonzalez (Keeper)
OF Justin Upton
OF Curtis Granderson
Util Casey McGehee
BN Kelly Johnson
BN Ryan Raburn
DL Chase Utley (Keeper)

SP Roy Oswalt
SP Shaun Marcum
SP Jeremy Hellickson
SP Max Scherzer
RP Joe Nathan
RP John Rauch
P Joel Hanrahan
P Drew Storen
BN Gavin Floyd
BN Ervin Santana
BN John Lackey
BN John Danks
BN Zach Britton

Pitching is suspect, and unfortunately I locked in Utley as a keeper before news of his knee broke. Could have kept Cliff Lee or Josh Johnson instead. My league allows for two acquisitions per week (which I've already used this week on Britton and Rauch), so I'm hoping to make these two free agent moves on Monday if these players are still available:

ADD Jordan Walden
DROP Drew Storen

ADD Michael Pineda
DROP Ryan Raburn

Could sub out Pineda for Brandon Beachy. Thoughts please and advice more than welcome--I will analyze your team in a detailed fashion in return.

Hey, thanks for the help with mine.

I definitely like the Hanley, Cabrera, and Car-Go core you have. Unfortunate about Utley, but I think you could use another bat. Depending on who's on the wire, I might choose to keep Raburn and instead drop one of your pitchers to pick up Pineda or Beachy.

I agree with you that your pitching is a little suspect. I like Oswalt and Marcum (although he had a rough 1st outing). However, the rest of your rotation leaves something to be desired. I think that Beachy and/or Pineda would be good pickups as I don't trust the pitchers that you have on the bench.

Pineda looks great this spring despite coming in overweight and missing 4MPH on his FB....and he has already picked some of the velo back up as he works himself into shape.

As for the drop...honestly...OSWALT is your man. Dude is no spring chicken, and is not even signed to an MLB or MiLB contract and has already said at this point he is probably looking at joining a team come June. IMO not worth waste the bench spot for that long to hope a good team signs him and he stays in shape.
