Postby somervillesoxfan » Thu Mar 31, 2011 7:21 pm

Please rank the following OF's in a league with the following stats:
Runs (R), Doubles (2B), Triples (3B), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Walks (BB), Batting Average (AVG), On-base + Slugging Percentage (OPS), Net Stolen Bases (NSB)

Carlos Lee
Jose Tabata
Carlos Beltran
Alfonso Soriano
Wil Veneble
Tyler Colvin

Also provide any reasoning on which 3 I should own on my team. Bench players only so only looking for best players from this list.

Hoenstly though, Tabata and Lee are your only real choices here. Soriano is nearing retirement and hasnt been the same player in a couple of years. Beltran can't stay on the field. I ranked him so low because the guy just never plays, always gets hurt, and his play has declined.

Tabata is a question mark but he really has the biggest upside. I don't think his floor is that bad though as he has shown he can play in the majors at least, so he won't be a bust. I like Lee, he could rebound. But he is getting up there in age as well, so his tools might have declined.

I like them in the exact order you listed them. Lee and Tabata are the obvious two that should be on your teem. I would go with Beltran as the third because of highest upside.
