No way!! Outside of Lester and Latos, you have no starting pitching. Don't dump Beckett for saves.

I wouldn't do the deal. My breakdown:

Marcum>Cahill
Beckett>Richard
Perez<Bell
McCutchen=Choo

You'd be losing a good amount of value with the SPs here that cannot be made up with the upgrade from Perez to Bell. I also like McCutchen a tick more than Choo all things considered, though they are very close anyways.

Yea thanks for the advice guys, im still thinking hard, because at the back of my head im thinking what if Marcum goes down early, and Beckett is similar to last season. I like the breakdown avsfan, that's exactly how I picture this trade. How about if i get Ervin Santana instead of Clayton Richards... do you think that could throw some kind of balance in the trade? I dont want to get rid of marcum but i really like Heath Bell and i agree that Choo and McCutchen are very similar but im leaning towards Choo having a slightly better season and he puts up a better average as well.

I don't see the benefit of this trade.

It's a 4 for 4 and you're swapping players at the exact position, not really filling any voids.

Overall, I prefer the package of 4 players on your team by a good amount. I'd definitely not do the trade. Beckett is being undervalued this year and Marcum's move to the NL can only help (watch out though, he did have an injury scare already).

Thanks indigo, and cghitman. Yea one of the big reasons I'm keen on giving away Marcum is cause of his already hurting shoulder. Agreed my SP isnt the best, so I really dont want to get screwed early on if he has to miss games.

I would not do this trade. I like to keep my trades simple, why trade 4 players when he really wants 1? a 1 for 1 or 1 for 2 type trade is easier to finalize in my opinion. If this guy wants Marcum in the worst way now, he will probably want him as much or more 3 weeks from now. You have no reason to rush. Let him keep making offers and try and cash in after Marcum has pitched well.

Just as a side note, you cant worry about guys maybe getting injured and using that as motivation to trade them. All of these guys are injury risks, its just the nature of sports. I will avoid injury prone players, but I wont try to rush a trade because I dont want to get stuck with a worthless, injured player. Most of the time you will trade a guy that really wasnt hurt that bad to begin with. For what it is worth, Marcum only expects to miss one spring training game.

I wouldn't do this trade. It doesn't seem to improve your team at all and I think with Marcum's move to the NL you can expect some good numbers. Also, wait to see if Beckett can regain any of his old form and if he does his value will skyrocket.

I would stay put, I like the SP you are throwing out more than what you get back. H Bell is a better closer but he is a trade risk, Choo and Andrew M is a wash. I rather staty put.

Please help with mine:
