Its a 20 team, H2H Category, 15 player keeper league. Avg, HR, OPS, Runs, RBI, SB - ERA, WHIP, Wins, K, SV, HD
1b: Barton (not keeping)
Util: Dom Brown and Desmond Jennings
P: Hanson, Hamels, Brett Anderson, Matusz, Porcello
So there are my 15 keepers. I have an opportunity to trade for Hanley Ramirez, but not sure if I even should. I've always been of the belief that elite hitters are worth more than pitchers in H2H category leagues...but here's what the guy is offering:
SS Hanley, 3B Headley, SP Garza and RP Bell...for...OF Braun, 3B Zimmerman and SS Hardy
I'm really not digging the deal, and replied that I would possibly accept
Hanley, Headley, SP Latos and RP Kimbrel...for...Braun, Zimmerman and Hardy (might have to add Porcello or Matusz?)
My question is should I do either of these deals? I would try to flip Headley and Porcello or maybe Matusz for Alvarez, as that guy is rebuilding and could use some more depth. It would drop me back down to 15 keepers, and I would replace some of the production lost with Zimmerman.
My other option, obviously, is to stay put with my already respectable rotation/lineup, wait for Jennings to bring me big SB numbers, try to upgrade Hardy and 1b somehow, and hope for guys like Matusz and Porcello to put up big numbers for me (or to make those upgrades).
Anyone's opinion is welcome, hopefully the other guy isn't reading this site, and I will return advice if you request it. Thanks!
