Trying to make a championship run and to vulture as many closers as I can. Have already vultured Jim Johnson, Betancourt, Joel Peralta.

I had Parnell and he was terrible. I'd assume it'd be Acosta by now so I've added him but they haven't had a recent save opp. As far as the Giants I have had Affeldt, Romo, Casilla, Ramirez at some point and dropped them all because I don't know who in the heck it is.

Also a question about the Dodgers? Who would assume the closer role in 2012? Would they bring broxton back, keep guerra, or move Jansen into the role?

Acosta just got hammered in a non-save situation, so who knows what's going to happen these last two weeks. Maybe they give Parnell another look? Do they have any other viable options currently on the roster?

yeah it's annoying. I'm in the playoffs now and up until his shenanigans i had a 0.00 era and a 0.89 whip for the week. i still need saves though and he just jacked my era/whip up unnecessarily.

Casilla with another save! Wont see the chance tomorrow though FYI

He and guys like Motte must be helping those owners who invested (cheap likely) down the stretch ;-D

You said it about Motte. He's been a freaking god send these playoffs.

Does it look like Jim Johnson is now closing for Baltimore for those chasing cheap saves?

Yes, and he's actually not bad, so his ERA and WHIP won't kill you.

If the Cubs/'Stros game is called due to rain, does that mean Melancon gets the save?

What are the chances Farnsworth regains closer role in TB? He's been out a couple weeks now and has just begun to throw from short distances. He's scheduled to throw off the mound and could pitch in-game in the upcoming series vs the Yanks. Is there any chance he regains the closer role before the end of the season? I have Peralta and Farnsworth but if he isn't going to come back there is no reason for him to take up a roster spot.
