would you trade Carlos Santana?

Postby kcbrett5 » Mon Nov 29, 2010 7:21 pm

I have him for $10 in a 12 team AL only league standard 5X5 for this year and Next at that price.
For R. Davis $10, Lester $30 and Moustakas (minor league)

There will not be alot of aces in the draft (most will be kept), Haren will be the best.
Should I trade Santana for this package

Thanks

Seems like a lot of money for Davis/Lester, but if you consider that you can cover about 40% of your SB production, and 20% of your starters production, for 15% of your salary cap (@ $260), and get Moustakas tossed in for nothing - I'd have to make that deal. ;-D

you have no SP now? $30 seems about the most he'd go for again. I might do this for Mous alone tho if he's going to be cheap once active

I think i would do this as well. Getting an ace, a good OF and a top prospect is about as good as you could get for Santana.

Pull the trigger. It sucks to give up Carlos, but you are getting more than fair value in return.

Heck, Moustakas might turn out to be just as good

The final deal would be Santana $10 (2012), Bard $10 (2012) and Drabek (minors)
for
Lester $30 (2012), R. Davis $10 (2011) and Moustakas (minors)
