I LOL'd.

Seems like the voters have been figuring out what statistics are lately... strange to see these awards aren't always based on jersey sales (unless the name on the back is Jeter).

Now if we can just figure out how to fix the All-Star votes. :p

Is there any way to see how each individual writer voted? I know Joe Strauss of the St.Louis P-D was the lone Pujols #1 vote, but I'm curious as to a few others:

Pujols #6
CGonzalez #6,#7
Jimenez #5
Howard #2
The 3 ballots with Carlos Ruiz

I am not surprised that Votto won it but I am that he ran away with it. I thought Pujols would pull in more than one vote. I guess the idea that Pujols had a down year, kept the votes away. Again Votto probably deserved it but I didn't think it would have been by that much.

No Chooch led the Phillies in RBI's second half if I remember right while many big name players were players were down. and played great defense as well. No way deserves the award but good to see he got some credit.

Howard with a #2 vote is an absolute joke. Obviously that came from someone with Phillie or Cub connections. Votto/Albert is about as clear cut #1/#2 as you can get. I guess I could be more understanding if it were CarGo with a #2, but Howard?! 8-o
