Because as our primary DH Cust has had two unacceptable seasons power-wise of .177 and .166 ISO. Now I know Berkman just posted .166 ISO, but I believe he just had an injury-marred down season, where as Cust has changed his approach, to his detriment. Also, his .395 OBP was fuelled by a .387 BABIP.

The White Sox would be a good match, and they've been interested in the past. :-?
