- RotoworldJason LaRue told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Saturday that he will retire due to concerns over his season-ending concussion.
LaRue was kicked in the face multiple times by Reds pitcher Johnny Cueto during a scuffle in Cincinnati back in August. He's still experiencing headaches and nausea, something he likened to seasickness. "It's one of the hardest things in the world to explain," said the catcher. "You don't feel right. ... I'm done. It's a simple decision." The 36-year-old is likely to officially file retirement papers this offseason. He had a .231/.315/.396 career batting line over 11-plus seasons of professional baseball. this is a common argument in just about every sport, and the problem is drawing the line between what's appropriate and inappropriate.
offerman faced charges for his bat-charging insanity, so it does happen.
