Im determining his consistency 2-3 yrs from now, based on the fact he is a big strikeout guy, guys like that are always gonna be up and down. I really see him as a guy that could hit .320 one yr and follow it up with a .275 yr.

thats why I compare him to Fielder and Howard, not saying hes gonna produce same no's as them, just saying you can get different results year in and out. Pujols/Braun are more of a model of consistency

So we have to assume you failed to realize how many times Braun strikeouts roughly every year? :-S

But he's consistent with his strikeouts.

Upton's triple yesterday and his single just now today were both to right field. If he's using the opposite field, that's usually a good thing, right? More signs of getting out of his slump?

Upton is hitting .310 (22-for-71) with three doubles, four homers, three stolen bases and 11 RBI in 17 games in May, raising his season average to .256.

Anyone starting him today vs. Lincecum?

Lifetime he's 6 for 20 off him, so yeah, I'll start him. Hitting .300 against Lincecum ain't too shabby.

Upton is almost 4 years younger than Braun, yet has only 667 fewer MLB ABs than Braun. (1182 vs 1849).

Upton will be 23 in August. Sheesh.

I start him everyday and don't think about it. Of course it's easy in a 24 tm league where you have no other options until Michael Taylor is called up or Carlos Guillen is off the DL.

I ask if you have anyone better than Upton that would even warrant a platoon on your fantasy team?
