Ive read two different opinions.... Is a DL trip ahead of him?

According to ESPN 1500 Twin Cities, Joe Mauer is now likely "week-to-week," and not day-to-day, with his heel injury.
Our View: The word came straight from the mouth of manager Ron Gardenhire, and is bolstered by the fact that the Twins recalled catcher Wilson Ramos from Triple-A on Sunday morning. If you are a Mauer owner, begin preparing for a possible trip to the DL for the American League's reigning MVP.

Sounds pretty bad in that review.

Joe Mauer is out of Saturday's lineup with a bruised heel.
Mauer is a little banged up and also got the day off Thursday. Hopefully the extra rest will help him stay healthy through the month of May. The All-World catcher is batting .345/.406/.500 this season but has just one home run. Drew Butera will start behind the plate against Cleveland.

Doesn't sound so bad in this report.

USA Today says he "could be out a week." ... eft-heel/1

Most of the starting catchers in my (weekly lineups H2H) league are rostered, but I'd say bench him for next week if you have to decide by tonight.
