However, it's wrong to simply shrug off the whole striking out a ton of times. He's a really young guy who could get overwhelmed in the majors. It's not the K's that the Marlins are the most worried about but rather the lack of success he might encounter at the major league level. When he has put the bat on the ball in the minors, a lot of good things have happened. Who is to say the times he does make contact in the majors wouldn't be a lot worse? That's the problem with guys w/o solid discipline - major league pitchers will take advantage of your weaknesses. Consequently, it could be likely that he'd struggle then begin to press and then the confidence flies out the window.

24 K's in 55 AB's. Even after his first homer, Stanton was like "finally". Gotta believe his confidence has been shaken and now the threat of pressing is real. I own him in a number of leagues and would love for him to find his stroke, but I admit I'm more than worried about his prospects for meaningful production in std leagues the rest of this year.
