Best OF Arm?

Postby coma » Wed Apr 07, 2010 4:53 pm

Having the best arm in outfield to gun runners out isn't something normally talked about or really easy to quantify. But I was just curious as to which OF's had the strongest arms?

I recall reading that the only person to throw out Ichiro going 1st to 3rd on a hit to right is Delmon Young.

Edit: and boom goes the dynamite

Guillen definitely has a strong arm. The thing that sets Ichiro apart in my mind is his combination of arm strength and accuracy. It's just silly sometimes.

Amongst younger guys, Pence and Kemp come to mind.

I can still picture Vlad's canon - not the most accurate, but man he could gun it.

I have never really looked at arm ratings or stuff like that, so I may be totally off base here but I have always loved Markakis' arm. Not saying it is the best, but DaSh 1s likes it.
