SP w/ RP Eligibilty

Postby abrunn11 » Tue Mar 23, 2010 7:01 pm

My league requires you to start 6 SP's and 4 RP's, it is head to head total points and SP's far outweigh RP's. To give you an idea of how much, there is only 1 RP in my top 30 ranked pitchers (Broxton @ 28).

This is a list of of guys with RP eligibilty that will most likely get some starts. I would like to see if anyone has a strong opinion on anyone on the list.
Happ, J.A.

Morrow, Brandon
Bonderman, Jeremy
Masterson, Justin
Gorzelanny, Tom

That's a useful list for others in the same situation.

A few thoughts:

Happ has looked great this spring. I'd draft him regardless of his eligibility.
Colby Lewis could be a surprise in Tex this year.
Though they likely wont end up with a ton of wins, Clayton Richard and Justin Masterson are two to watch.

What about Liriano? He has dual eligibility in the Yahoo game.

Good point (assuming he's using Yahoo). Others with dual in Yahoo not mentioned include Phil Hughes, Shaun Marcum, Brett Myers and K. Kawakami. Ian Kennedy is just down as an RP I think.

Don't try to exploit the RP with SP eligibility in ESPN. One minute you're keeping Andrew Bailey solely for that reason, a month after the draft ESPN taketh away.

Um, it is not ESPN, its Sportsline. Once you have eligibility you keep it throughout the year.
