Odds Justin Upton ends up a 1st rounder next year.

Mauling over where to put Upton in my rankings and something tells me when the smoke clears from the '10 season, he will be ranked 8-12 overall next years.

Thoughts?

Pretty high obviously, he has the ceiling to go top 5 next year if Utley shows signs of aging and Upton's '10 season is insane.

I'd be very comfortable with him as my second best player this year. How many guys can you envision being a future #1 overall fantasy pick? He's one of a select few.

I can see it happening. He's gonna have a big year this year.

Love all the talk about Upton - I snagged him at the turn of the 2nd/3rd round in my NL-only league, and I'm stoked on him having a big year. Now all I need is for the Padres to not trade A-Gon and my core of Pujols, Upton, A-Gon should carry me through.

I would kill to grab him around pick 20-23, but I think someone will grab him around pick 15 or so. I guess that does not seem high at 15 considering unless Longoria would be at 15.

Let me ask this. If the following players were at the turn of rnd. 1, which 2 would you grab?

Justin Upton
Evan Longoria
David Wright

Of course if MCab, Howard or Crawford fell to late first round, you would have to put these 3 over the above 3.

I had pick #14 and I went with Upton over Wright, Longoria was off the board but I still think I would have gone with J Upton. I got Zimmerman at pick #29 and I think he's comparable to Longoria and Wright. I think J Upton vs Holliday is a good debate, Holliday is a safer pick but Upton's got the upside.

I'd take Longo. I'm in love with both Longo and Upton so that would be a tough choice. I'm hoping I can snag Upton in round 3. I have a feeling that a few of the stiffs in my league are gonna go SP early on.
