Thats the point. Not everyone is a serious player, still they should be provided proper information.
I guess.

Even serious players can be mislead:

Tennessee Jed wrote:Starting a guy solely on the fact he has a ^ next to his name, and not taking .5 seconds to look 1cm to the right where it says the game is PPD is 100% user error.

But you knew that the PPD was the correct information and the ^ ikon was the false.
What if you didn't?
You had to double check.
If you noticed the contradiction!

What if you didnt, cause you had important things to take care of.
This is a game, and sometimes there are more important things in life.
If you are a serious player you still try to buy a minute or two to set your lineups. Even in the middle of a hurricane. But if you are in a hurry, you might just go with the ^ ikon.

Casual players only look at the ^ ikon. And dont look any further.
And last time I checked, this is not a "serious players only" game.

Im a serious player and sometimes even I do that. Which reminds me that Yahoo should change the ^ ikon to X, if a player was removed from the original lineup. Happens many times. Check the team, see the ^ ikon, put the player in the lineup, 10 minutes later the player is removed by the manager, yet Yahoo doesnt change the ^ ikon to X. I check team page, player is in the line up.
I check Yahoo scoreboard player is in the line up.
I'm good.
On second thought, Im not.
Yahoo have the player in the lineup, according to the original line up card, and not according to the modified lineup card.

And this is why is it correct to provide contradicting information?
So what you saying is that it's every players duty to double check if Yahoo is providing the proper information, cuz it's not their job to manage every team?

Tennessee Jed wrote:Exactly. It's not Yahoo's job to manage your team. And they do a pretty fine job in providing proper information, way better than CBS.

I see. So Yahoo can provide misinformation cause that is better than CBS.
Brilliant.

I agree w you that Yahoo is better than CBS and ESPN. And they proved it time after time, that they care about their players. So Im not gonna argue that.

Again, no one ever said it is Yahoo"s job to manage any team.

I don't see how it's ridiculous for Yahoo to update whether a player is really playing in a game or not (indicated by the ^) if that game is truly PPD. It does not take "0.5 seconds" to thoroughly check if each one of our players is in the lineup that day. I used to do that, and it's more like 30 minutes, and you have to be around a computer right around the time lineups are submitted. I'm not complaining about that (scratched batters due to last-minute lineup changes). I'm complaining that an SP whose game is the second-part of a double-header should be allowed to be moved freely from the bench to the starting lineup and vice versa, but yahoo's dumb system doesn't allow them to do that because they lock all players who have double-headers for the earlier game. Maybe they should separate the games? Have a player clone for the next game? I don't know, but it's a dumb system.

Coco Crisp has an X next to his name.
He is not playing.
On the other hand it's the top of the 6th, and he is 2/3 with 1 RBI and 1 SB.
And according to Yahoo scoreboard no lineup change has been made.

It seems every September when the football crap starts it goes downhill.

Our league still doesn't have last week's results in and the playoffs start in about 2 hours. There's one team that was in the 8th playoff spot last week but lost it this past week, but it's still showing him as in the playoffs. That throws all the matchups off too.
