Major League Fantasy Baseball is launching its inaugural season and needs owners!
A dynasty, head to head, fantasy baseball league where you are the GM of one of the 30 Major League Franchises as they stand on opening day 2010, complete with their major and minor league rosters, and payroll!!
Format: H2H, points league hosted partially on CBS. 100 game schedule including interleague play, All Star break, full playoff format. Point system will reflect linear weights by 24 base/out states. Basically, each baseball event contributes either positively or negatively to runs being scored. This point system partially reflects those events and only rewards/penalizes players for baseball events within their ability to control.
Teams & Rosters: You will inherit the opening day roster, contracts, and payroll of one of the 30 major league teams. 25-40-75 man rosters. Amatuer draft will be in June, Rule V during the Winter Meetings, and complete Free Agency signing period in the off season.
Finances: Full arbitration will be in place where players with 6 years of service or less will be under team control. Long Term Contract negotiations available. Team revenues and salary cap will increase or decrease dependent upon performance.
Fees & Prize Money:
$20 entry fee covers: CBS fees, unique domain name, web site and forums.
Prize Money: $25 for teams losing in Divisional Playoffs, $50 for teams losing in League Championship Series, $70 for team losing in the World Series, $100 for World Series Championship
