Looking for owners in a new league I've started. It's called Old Skool (http://games.espn.go.com/flb/leagueoffi ... ueId=73296
), and the premise is simple: It's an MLB-style Dynasty League using the 10 original teams from each league.
There will be 2 drafts: The first will determine an owner's team, and the 2nd will fill out each roster from the 10 teams not being used in the league. The owner that picks first in the 1st draft will pick last in the 2nd draft (the order will be inverted). I'm sure this will cause some griping, but in my mind, someone is going to have to choose Pittsburgh or another lesser talented team, and this seemed the fairest way to even talent out.
The teams available for selection are: [AL] Angels, Athletics, Indians, Orioles, Rangers, Red Sox, Tigers, Twins, White Sox and Yankees [NL] Astros, Braves, Cardinals, Cubs, Dodgers, Giants, Mets, Phillies, Pirates and Reds.
Once each owner selects a team, they will have 24 hours to select a 25 man keeper list for the "auto draft". It's not really a draft - it's just the quickest way to fill everyone's roster. If an owner doesn't submit a keeper list after 24 hours, I reserve the right to select one for him/her. Once the rosters are full, we will conduct an offline "supplemental" draft of the remaining talent that will run as long as I determine. Opening Day is April 4th, and I'm thinking 24 hours notice for waivers to kick in, so April 2nd/April 3rd will be the end date for the offline draft.
There ARE NO roster limits; i.e. You do not need to carry "X" number of "host" players. After the initial roster selection, if you want to replace all 25 players, that is your call.
You can view the settings at the league page (http://games.espn.go.com/flb/leagueoffi ... ueId=73296
). If you have any questions, simply ask. I need 14 owners, and I'd like to get going by the end of the week.
