We've an unusual league--a keeper league--which emphasizes live auctions. We actually do three of them over the course of a year, as we enjoy the camaraderie auctions bring--before and after Spring Training, and midseason. We have seven teams, and each team maintains, during the season, a double-roster of 46 players--double the usual Rotisserie 23--plus 5 reserves. We use 14 Scoring categories--for hitters: Runs, RBI, HR, SB, AVG, OBP, SLG; for pitchers: Wins, Saves, Holds, Strikeouts, WHIP, ERA, GO/FO Ratio.
During the season, we use CBS Sports for scoring, and have instituted use of a FAAB budget. The only money involved is your share of the CBS fee. That's the core of it. We need a replacement owner. We have an auction coming up Sunday, January 31st--the off week before the Super Bowl--in which teams will buy players to supplement a 14-player keeper list, so that each team will have a 23-player roster prior to a March 28 auction, in which we will buy another 23 players each.
The keeper list of the team you'd inherit is this: Alex Rodriguez, Michael Young, Victor Martinez, Torii Hunter, Adam Jones, Andre Ethier, Colby Rasmus. Bobby Abreu, Roy Oswalt, Ubaldo Jiminez, Stephen Strasburg, David Aardsma, Jonathan Papelbon, and Bobby Jenks.
Age range of our owners is mostly in the forties and fifties, but two are younger, and we're not particularly age-conscious--just looking for an amiable additional owner.
If you're interested, please let me know, and I'll get back to you. Thanks for looking.
