Wade Miller - Where's the love?

I was hoping people could tell me why Miller's so low on most cheatsheets/lists/etc.

Probably because he's injury prone, pitches in the juice box, and isn't his team's ace. I'd still pick him.
The odds of the AL MVP coming from the American League are looking pretty good.

I agree, Jury. Let people keep picking him low. I'll take him!! I had him last year - and while it was painful to have him miss 2 months, one he came back I got to enjoy that 11-1 rampage!! I don't think he'll do that again, but he has any semblence of health, he'll be worth getting - and probably in the mid-rounds at that!

Miller

Postby Spike » Fri Mar 07, 2003 2:59 pm

Well, I got him in the 5th round of my 10 team 5x5 league.

Here's my team so far (in order):

Vlade Guerrero, OF, MON
Derek Jeter, SS, NYY
Bobby Abreu, OF, PHI
A.J. Burnett, SP, FLA
Wade Miller, SP, HOU

As only 1 RP has gone so far, I'm thinking about Smoltz next round and infielders as well.

Thanks for the comments guys!

miller is a 4 cat stud and you cant expect him to only get 26 starts again....look for 32 starts with 18 wins 180 k's and a 3.25 era with 1.25 whip. solid pick in the 5th....i got him there too, in a keeper though...

Um, Curt Schilling isn't his staff's ace either, he seems to be pretty popular though! :-D

I went to the same college as Wade Miller. Heard he dropped out cuz he was dumb as a sack of nickels.
Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball. ~Jim Murray
