Last team drafted - where are the holes

Drafted over AOL IM

Very small league, so my team isn't even IMHO the best one. I drafted 6th/7th on the turn and got Helton/Beltran. Prior was taken just before me, so I had to "settle" for Schilling and Boone on the second turn. Some of the late round steals I think I got are in () beside the name, but you also gotta understand this was 6 teams and one guy wasn't live.

6 team H2H league, (R HR RBI SB BB K AVG OPS)

C J. Posada (9th)
1B T. Helton
2B B. Boone (4th)
SS E. Renteria
3B T. Glaus
OF C. Beltran
OF C. Jones
OF J. Pierre
UT D. Lee
Bn K Griffey Jr (18th round, I had to)
Bn H Blalock
Bn H Matsui (Mr. Irrelevant, last pick 21st and final round)
Bn J Edmonds

SP C Schilling
SP J Vasquez
RP B Wagner
RP E Guardado
P R Oswalt (13th)
P B Webb
P J Beckett (17th)
Bn E Milton

(I'm punting holds for now)

My strategy in this league is to not make any serious moves until the first two weeks of the season - just as a feeler for how my team is. I'm not going to up and drop anyone for the hot guy early, just to watch my player get picked up on waivers and then pick up steam.

For me, 3B is a slight ?, but I had Blalock and Glaus in my top 7 for 3B so I was happy getting both of them. Rolen went far too early - 3rd rounder.

If I wanted to get into the holds battle (my first round opponent doesn't have a setup man either) who would you drop? I was thinking about picking up Tom Gordon for that catagory - who would you want to dump?

You shouldn't have Milton in a league of 6 teams. He is not worthy of a roster spot. I'd pick up a good closer off of free agency or a good set up man for holds.

Also I'd pack C. Jones and one of your bench OFs for an improvement.

Good luck!

Drop Matsui for a utility infielder, drop Milton for a holds guy ... I think the 3B gamble or gambles look good .... Glaus or Blalock, one of the two should do great for you.
