Analyze my pitching WHIR

Postby Dovergeek » Wed Jul 29, 2009 5:10 pm

So my pitching is starting to sink my team and I am looking for a little advice.

Here are my pitchers:

Brett Anderson
Ryan Dempster
Yovani Gallardo
Dan Haren
Trevor Hoffman
Ricky Nolasco
Andy Pettitte
David Price
Joakim Soria
B - Erik Bedard
B - Francisco Liriano
B - Pedro Martinez
B - Edinson Volquez

Here are the notable free agents available:

Tommy Hunter
Jonathan Sanchez
Matt Guerrier
David Hernandez
John Lannan
Craig Stammen
Phil Hughes
Daniel Bard
Tyler Clippard
Mike Adams
Guillermo Mota
Chan Ho Park
Brett Cecil
Chris Volstad

Current Rankings:

K's: 4th (822)
ERA: 7th (4.11)
WHIP: T-5 (1.30)
WINS: 7th (54)
SAVES: 9th (38)

It is a CBS 10 team mixed Rotisserie.

Thanks to all in advance.

I wouldn't have much faith in Pettite or Pedro in a 10 team league...although it doesn't look like there is much out there. I added Hughes in my 12 league as a solid source of k's and innings, but you may need to get a trade going to improve Pettite. I wouldnt waste my time with Pedro personally...

I agree. I would add Hughes he has been lights out in the bullpen and Joba is nearing is 160 IP limit for the Yankees so Phil may make the jump into the starting rotation. Pedro is a risk to start. If you are strong in the offensive end look to make a deal for another solid pitcher.

I would look to trade Haren for two solid sp's. Haren has never been a good second half pitcher and he has already started off poorly. I would also drop Pettitte and pickup Hughes.
