Middle of the pack?

I've made a few changes since I asked before, had a few trades shot down, and the like :-D So here's what I've got so far, with Farnsworth to clear waivers on the 19th to help with holds and RP that I need. I'm afraid this is a solid, but not great team that should finish hopefully in the upper half of my league, but this is my first attempt at a fantasy baseball team, so I'm not very good at this yet. :-D

Util: J. Rollins -- I don't think you want him here. Hunter maybe.
BN: T. Hunter

SP: B. Colón ;-D
SP: C. Sabathia ;-D --good 4th SP.
SP: R. Wolf ;-D --hopefully he'll have a good year
P: R. Ortiz --won't get 20 wins again
RP: K. Escobar--kinda shaky
RP: B. Wagner ;-D
RP: J. Isringhausen
BN: B. Sheets
BN: M. Buehrle--probably better than him in your FA

Your pitching is kinda weak for a 1o-teamer... but the team as a whole isn't bad. I don't know if Alou, Wilkerson and Rollins will really help you much...

just my .02

Thanks for the help. I didn't think my pitching was that good. :-) Why isn't Rollins good for util? He's got a decent average and potential for some more steals doesn't he?

hey, bro
take a look at my post if you get a chance

re Rollins, hmm, he isn't even a top 10 SS is he? Maybe I'm wrong.
That's why I don' tsee him as a good UTIL guy.

If avg. and speed is what you're looking for, I would think Hunter would be a decent option.

I just think that you wnt your util guy to be roster worthy, and I suppose Rollins is, but most good teams I see don't have Rollins as their SS, much less theior util. spot.

I could be very wrong here though, anyone else have an opinion or are you just looking for one on your team :-?

I'm obviously new to this so I don't really know what I'm doing. I just looked at his numbers and thought of the guys I had, he was the best option based upon the value to his real team. I've read several places that Hunter won't really duplicate his one good year of a few years ago, so I picked him up mainly as something to use in a trade later in the year. :-?

I'd put Hunter in the Util slot instead of Rollins. Hunter will put up close to 30 HRs, 10 SBs and 100 RBIs. Remember, Rollins is hitting at the bottom of the Phillies lineup. Byrd and Polanco occupy #1 and #2. Rollins could be used as trade bait for an owner desperate for a SS.

Your team isn't that bad at all. Solid lineup. Pitching is a little shaking. You must have forgot about holds when you drafted. Farnsworth may not be the answer especially since Hawkins is in town now. Look for some good RPs off of free agency. Two closers will not get it done as well.

Check out my team:

Thanks.

Yeah, I totally overlooked holds when drafting so now I'm scrambling for anything really. :-o
