IMO, the side that gets Pujols, Lawrence and Renteria wins over Nomar, Dunn. Pujols is much more valuable than Dunn, while Nomar takes Renteria - I believe the difference of Pujols/Dunn makes up for that. And when you throw a potential jewel in Lawrence, I go with that side.
In your second scenario, I STILL would go against Nomar, though this would be interesting. I just couldn't pull the trigger on dealing Arod for anything less than a 1st rounder + in return.
