So Holliday is so far proving all those who said "He can't hit outside of Coors field," right. I thought he'd do better as his road average went up. He seems to be a pretty reserved guy and maybe CALI isn't the place for him.

There is a 0% chance Oakland keeps him since they are on pace to lose every game this season

Anyone got any guesses on where he goes.

I don't have any good guesses.

I would love to see him rack up the HR's in Yankee Stadium or Fenway (from a fantasy standpoint).

I've always said that Boston seems like the right fit for both teams.
The Red Sox obviously need some punch in the middle of that lineup now (though I suppose a left handed bat would fit better).
Boston also has the excess young pitching to get the deal done.

I'm thinking some type of Buchholz (or other young pitchers) for Holliday deal will get done.

I think injury could play a big part in the picture of where he lands. Somebody will lose someone for the season and try and plug the hole with Holliday.

Teams who could bid for him in July:

Atlanta
Detroit
Kansas City
Minnesota
SF
Tampa Bay

Oakland could get a Sabathia-esque deal, with one top prospect and some "bits". I'm predicting that prospect will probably be a hitter.
Unless the Yankees or Red Sox lose someone (Boston haven't lost Ortiz yet) I don't think they'll be in it.

This is all assuming that Oakland can't dig themselves out of the hole they're in and contend themselves.

How about Atlanta? I understand the Braves have some pretty decent chips in the farm system, they're potentially in the race, and their outfield kind of sucks.

eh. i think he is a pretty bad fit actually. unless the sox decide to bench ortiz permanently, which i dont see happening. they aren't going to pay holliday and jd drew to man RF.

My current guess is that.

Colorado Gets "Matt Holliday"

Oakland gets "Huston Street, Greg Smith, Carlos Gonzalez, Brad Hawpe, Garrett Atkins."

:)
