He's batting .218 two weeks into June. I pity the fool who traded a player of value for this has-been. His days as a productive major league player are over. He's Joey Gathright with SS eligibility. 15th round talent is too kind for the bum.

Ricky Weeks on the DL is more valuable than Rollins. He gives you more roster flexibility and doesn't kill your average.

You also likened his skill set to a 15th rounder, called him the worst player on his team, and said he was a minor league talent now. Thats all just from this thread.

You know what??

I was RIGHT.

Minor league talent at the plate. Not even AAA--maybe a bad AA league.

Looks like Manuel's couple games off didn't help him either. I think he'll get hot soon, but man is he frustrating to watch right now. :-/

SS Jimmy Rollins’ slump has reached career-worst proportions. Rollins went 0-for-3 Wednesday night and is 0-for-27, surpassing an 0-for-25 slump from June 18-24, 2002. He hasn’t had a hit since June 18, and his average has plummeted to .205. Rollins reached base in the third inning on a two-out walk and stole second base. Phillies manager Charlie Manuel tried to kick-start Rollins by benching him for four games last week to clear his mind. Rollins said he felt rusty when he returned Tuesday night and went 0-for-5.

“It felt like my first game back in a while,” Rollins said. “It really did. I was like, ‘Whoa, goodness gracious.’ Hitting that ball off the tee is a little different than hitting it when it’s moving.”

At least he can hit the ball well off the tee. :-)

What makes you think of that? He only said it's different.
I benched him until ... maybe next year? :~(

Call me crazy, but I'm thinking about buying low on Jim. Dont really know why, but I figure at worst he should bat .280 with 25 SB's the rest of the way. That should get his avg up to about .250 for the year with some good run totals th rest of the way. Am I crazy?
