Fort Myers, FL (Sports Network) - Baltimore Orioles shortstop Miguel Tejada left Thursday's exhibition game against the Boston Red Sox in the fourth inning with a leg injury.

Orioles third baseman Melvin Mora was attempting to make a play on a Mark Bellhorn chopper, when he cut in front of Tejada. It looked as if Tejada was favoring his right leg after the play, but it was not immediately clear how he was injured.

After a brief discussion with manager Lee Mazzilli and the trainer, Tejada was lifted from the game and replaced by Luis Lopez.

Tejada, who owns the longest active consecutive games played streak in the majors with 594, agreed to a $72 million, six-year deal with Baltimore back in December. He also .

Prior to leaving the game, Tejada hit a two-run homer in the first and than added an RBI double in the third inning. For the spring the former AL MVP is 9-for-20 (.450) with two home runs and six RBI.
