7 - James McDonald SP LAD
8 - Aaron Hicks OF MIN
9 - Nick Weglarz OF CLE
10 - Ryan Westmoreland OF BOS
11 -
12 -

I recently pulled off these three trades over the past few days:
A) My Rowand, Bush, McCarthy for K Johnson and Pelfrey
B) My Hellickson for Villalona
C) My Duncan for Aviles

I have been told by an owner that he would trade me Mike Moustakas for my Trevor Cahill and Mike Moustakas. I have been looking for a long-term option at 3B. I just traded for Villalona and I think this trade would put me well over the top moving forward.

I have faith my starting rotation could handle the loss of Cahill. It would probably require I call up McDonald to replace Cahill's roster spot. Would you try to offer either: 1) A Reyes, Niemann & Brignac or 2) J Maine, McDonald & Brignac for Moustakas, instead of Cahill?

Would you make this trade, as is? Or come back with a counter?

Feel free to leave a link!

His roster:
C - Flores
1B - D Lee
2B - A Hill
3B - Crede
SS - Rollins
LF - Soriano
CF - V Wells
RF - K Griffey, Jr
Util - T Hunter, T Hafner, B Crosby, B Francisco, M Cabrera, M Scutaro

SP - C-Ming Wang, D Davis, E Volquez, A Pettitte, R Dempster, R Halladay, M Harrison
RP - B Jenks, D Marte, JP Howell
DL - S Marcum, K Escobar

I've also been told I can trade two young SP for Halladay. Maybe something along the lines of Casilla, Cahill, Brignac & (McDonald or A Reyes) for Halladay & Moustakas

I don't make that trade. Moustakas and Cahill are pretty darn close in prospect rankings. I assume you are considering it because you have a hole at SS, but it is not like Moustakas will be up early enough to fill that problem. Besides, you have just as many problems in the rotation and I wouldn't want to trade away a potential contributor there.

It appears that Moustakas may not stick at SS, so I would pass on it for that reason alone if a future SS is what you;re looking for.

Moustakas is a man without a position. If you can deal with that I would do the deal as I believe he is fairly better valued as a total player than Cahill and I think Brignac is getting close to being "done"...
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!
