HELP my OF!.....WHIR

Postby CrashDavisAllStars » Thu Apr 02, 2009 10:30 pm

Although I like the core of my team, I am not sold on my OF...I missed out on my usual stable of Kemp, Rios, and Markakis....I do not trust Milledge at all and I can only hope and pray that Frenchie and Delmon Young can play anywhere near their potential...Gomez might get me some steals, but not much more...Guys available on the WW are: CoCo Crisp, Travis Snyder, Randy Wynn, Griffey Jr, and Daniel Murphy. Also, what are your thoughts on Brandon Wood this season...He is mashing right now...

Dunn and Pence are safe. Pence is nice because he should fill all 5 categories. Dunn will mash but hit for a low average. D. Young you will have to watch. I don't think Minn. likes him much. Francoeur is one of those comeback candidates. He is probably worth keeping and monitoring. You may want to look at dealing Kazmir when Lackey comes back for some help in the field. It seems you should be ok with the power numbers, but some help with SB's could help as you only have Pence, AROD, and Martin who steal bases that should play everyday for you. With a little tinkering and waiver wire watching, especially watching SP's on the wire you should be able to round you team into one that could be good. My theory on the draft is it is just a base. You have a decent base, but like most there are holes that can be patched. OF is a concern, but look at dealing some SP for an OF. Also, look at the WW for some closers. Motte, Hanrahan and Hoffman. Maybe you could get away with trading or packaging in a trade a RP also.
