Rate my team...WHIR 100%

Post by Carnac »

10 team H2H keeper league 5x5 standard cats. 3 keepers outside of first 3 rounds.

C Sandoval
1B Pujols
2B Kinsler
SS Drew
3B Aram
OF Manny, Markakis, Dye
U Damon
B J. Upton

SP Shields, Nolasco, Wainwright, Lilly, Weaver, Escobar, Smoltz, Zimmermann
RP Soria, Francisco, Gregg

As soon as Escobar and Smoltz go on DL planning on picking up 2 pitchers.

Anywhere else?

FA pitchers

Jonathan Sanchez
Mike Pelfrey
Chris Volstad
Wandy Rodriguez
Jeremy Guthrie
Mark Buehrle
Armando Gallaraga
Hiroki Kuroda
Chris Ray
Brad Ziegler

My first instinct says to pick up Gallaraga and Buehrle or Ziegler.

What do you think?

No, the correct answer is Volstad and Hiroki Kuroda or Chris Ray

Can you help me with my 3B problem?

Ziegler might get you a few saves since Devine is hurting a little...but you definitely need a little pitching help, you have some solid pieces there, but whoever gets out of the gates first on the WW, go for it. Otherwise, a solid team.

I don't think Damon is going to produce much.... So look to upgrade there, other than that you have a solid lineup.

As the guy above me said your pitching does need help though. Everyone after Wainwright looks sketchy to me. Thats not a terrible thing though because you can always work the WW and FA to pick up solid break out pitchers during the year so keep your eye out for that.

I would say get Chris Ray and Gallaraga. I think Sherrill will break down and Ray will get the job back and get u a decent amount of saves. Also I don't think you should keep Zimmerman around. Possibly drop him for Volstad. you might think im crazy but i think he will be a break out pitcher this year.

Overall good draft. Good luck!

Help with mine please! viewtopic.php?t=374432

Get on the Ziegler bandwagon since Devine is hurt and also get Chris Ray if you can. I agree that Damon is a borderline fantasy player in a 10-team league and you may want to drop him for another player.
