Ok, I'll try to give as much info as I can here. I'm in a universal 5X5 roto leauge. As of right now this is my lineup: Fick, Helton, Alomar, Eckstein, Chavez, Luis Gonzo, Drew, Damon, and Dunn (with Lieberthal, Koskie, and Mora on the bench. My pitching staff right now consists of starters Kevin Brown, Kerry Wood, Odalis Perez, Halladay, and Appier while my closers are Smoltz, Alfonseca, Acevedo, and Leskanic. Can start two each of starters and relievers with three flex positions. I just offered someone in my league Helton/Koskie/Halladay/Perez for Pujols/Manny/Pedro...His pitching staff is weak. Besides Pedro he has Hudson, Drese, Sele and Lidle. His starting 1st baseman is Fred McGriff and he's playing Pujols at third. What does everyone think? Is it fair? If he doesn't bite do I substitute Wood for Halladay, and if doing so, will that be enough? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Without worrying too much about whether this is 'objectively' fair in terms of player values, I don't think this helps the other team improve their pitching. I don't think Halladay/Perez or Wood/Perez would make up for the loss of Pedro (not factoring in Pedro's injury risk). It seems like the main return the other team would get for Pedro would be Helton, which would be pretty fair, but wouldn't solve their problems.

You might be better off targeting Hudson at this point. Perez/Halladay might be enough there, and perhaps you can pick up Ramirez as part oif a package (offering Koskie, for instance, allowing him to slide Pujols across the infield to first).

Good luck!
