People will probably disagree, but for my tastes it looks like this:

chris davis,
chipper jones,
garrett atkins,
aubrey huff,
ryan zimmerman.

For me, it's a combo of health record, upside, projections, etc.

oh yea, it's a keeper i'm talking about. the only thing i don't like about davis is his BA. i think he's gonna be atrocious this year. like .250 - .260 level. i just can't stand that. i'd have to pretty much punt avg. then

Chris Davis

Aubrey Huff

Chipper Jones
Ryan Zimmerman
Garrett Atkins

For me, Chris Davis is at the top of the heap and it's not even close. Chipper can top this list, but like death and taxes, he's a given to get injured. I'm not that high on Atkins for where he's drafted and I believe you can get better value out of Zimmerman, Beltre, and even Alex Gordon later. I don't think Huff's comeback year was a total fluke and seems to be a good call for 25 HR and 90-100 R/RBI.

It depends on how many teams are in your league. If it's a 10 team league, I rank:

chipper jones,
chris davis,
garrett atkins,
aubrey huff,
ryan zimmerman.

However, if it's a 14+ league in which 3B players are not "plentiful" then I'd rather have Davis or Atkins over Chipper due to the fact that if you draft Chipper you have to burn another mid level pick on another 3B as Chipper is bound to miss 40+ games.

btw for anyone that was worried about davis's slow spring, thats been obliterated with 4 homeruns in his last 6 games.

.250 is his downside but I don't think it should be just what you expect. .302 career in the minors, .286 in half a majors season, .300 in ST... the k/bb says he cant hit 300 but I think its reasonable to expect the .270 acceptable range.

I'd go davis/jones at the top right with eachother, injury plagued players whose draft position reflects that don't bother me that much... you should still end up with good numbers as long as you get a half decent fill in.

Atkins/Huff is a coin flip to me.

And then zimmerman last. Twice bitten thrice shy.

Jones
Davis

Zimmerman

Atkins

Huff

Though to be honest I'd most likely skip Atkins and Huff completely and go with a sleeper 3B unless they fell pretty darn far.
