That's why you look at the numbers and figure it out for yourself. You're supposed to disagree on some things, not just follow, follow.
The blurbs are good for "added new pitch" or "played through X injury".

I've seen a lot of 'experts' tout those names as well. Personally, I don't see what makes him different from the others.

I used to think the same thing too until I realized that Shandler's book comes out months before all those other guys start touting these guys. Coincidence? Possibly. Shandler was the first to do this type of analysis and since it's open source, anyone can do it.
