Team looks solid, but need help. WHIR!!!!

Postby chargerss24 » Thu Mar 12, 2009 2:11 am

I'm in a 12-team 6x6 roto (standard stat + Holds/OBP) keeper league. Our draft is in about 2 weeks and I'm already pretty well set but I'm a bit weak on offense, but my pitching staff is stacked. Would you go into the season with this team, or look to make a move to improve the offense. My team is in my signature and in addition, I have Pelfrey and Slowey on my bench which must be dropped before the draft unless I can plug them in my active lineup. Any help would be appreciated and WHIR!!!!

The good news is your stacked with pitching and speed on offence, and your power is average. The only real weak spot you have is C, because those two guys in a 2C league leave a lot to be desired. The good news is you could probably offer Slowley in a trade to upgrade to a Iannetta or Napoli type catcher.

But if you want the extra pat to out you over the top, you'll have to give up Santana, Hamels, or Peavy. Since you have all those MI, CI, and U spots available, you can get the best hitter regardless of position. Peavy or Hamels could get you a Holliday or Morneau, and Santana could land you a Teixeira type hitter. Hope this helps.
