That philosophy is pretty sound, but those rankings are pretty rough.
I think a pretty good rule of thumb is looking at average draft position with some tweaking for youth. You need to be careful to not reach too far for a guy who you could redraft.http://www.mockdraftcentral.com/index.jsp
