Ramon Ramirez, RHP(bullpen)
for
Coco Crisp, OF

Teahen is being rumored around as well....can't wait to see what happens there.

I'll take it.

"done deal"

Good move by both teams. Also, good for keeper league owners of Ellsbury, Crisp, and Masterson.

Yup, now Crisp can get his 600ABs and we can see what he can do...though it will hurt his power numbers a little being in KC. I like the deal though!

Rumors are CHC might be looking at Teahen at the moment.

Crisp is a good pick up IMO. He needs to stay healthy though.

I'm curious about the KC outfield right now. Instead of this being a precursor to trading Teahen, could this lead to a trade of DeJesus or spinning Crisp elsewhere? It seems kind of redundant to have Crisp and DeJesus in the same outfield.

DeJesus is not a great CF and he wears down when he is out there day in and day out. Moore's plan has been to find a way to move him to LF for awhile. Teahen needs to start packing a bag.

My point was more so about their bats. They both hit like CFers. It seems to me DeJesus would help the team more now as a trade chip than as a corner outfielder with a roughly league average bat.

Couple guesses here, from Boston's perspective anyway.

They could use Ramirez as Timlin's replacement and get younger and better in the backend of the bullpen; they could leave Ramirez where he is and move Masterson to the rotation or use masterson as trade bait now; or use Ramirez in a package with Bowden to Texas for a catcher.
