ESPN was pimping Tejada as clutch, and the MVP, with his late season hrs. I think this stuck in some voters heads. He wasn't MVP. Hamilton wasn't on a winning team like Tejada, so he will lose votes.

I think a Red Sox will take it.

I think A-Rod will get it.
I think Hamilton should get it.

And most deserving?
Jason Bartlett.

I think you gotta give it to Francisco Rodriquez, 62 saves to set a Major League record for saves in a single season for the team that won the most teams in baseball this year. Easy choice.

To me, a closer doesn't have enough of an impact to warrant the "Most Valuable Player" award.

For the record....Win Shares:

Mauer 31
Morneau 29
Youkilis 29
Sizemore 28
Hamilton 27
Pedroia 26
Kinsler 26
Rodriguez 25
Lee 25
Damon 25

And Runs Created:
Morneau 122
Youkilis 121
Sizemore 121
Hamilton 119
Markakis 117
Huff 114
Ibanez 112
Cabrera 109
Pedroia 108
Damon 107
Kinsler 107

To me, nobody really sticks out. I don't think I have an opinion here, other than Pedroia wasn't even the MVP of the right side of his team, let alone the league.

Really interesting race... I think Hamilton was in control of the award for the first half of the season, but then he faded from the spotlight with a weak second half. I think Quentin had it in the bag until he got hurt which opened the door for guys like Pedroia and Morneau.

Will win: Pedroia - he's gotten a LOT of hype and the voters will love voting for something different. But if Youkilis and Pedroia split votes, then I think Hamilton could sneak in there.

Should win: I'd actually say Quentin. His numbers in 130 games were phenomenal.

Want to win: Pedroia.

There were at least three relievers in the AL alone that had better seasons than Rodriguez did. I hope he doesn't even get a vote, nor do I hope anybody who pitches 60 innings get one.

Grady Sizemore is the best choice IMO. He trails only A-Rod in VORP and sits near the top of WS and RC.

Who will get it? Probably Pedroia, considering how the voters continually screw up. As someone else mentioned, Pedroia isn't even the MVP of his team.

I think I would give it to Cabrera or Hamilton. Those are really the only two I could see.

But then again if you give to either of them, why not A-Rod? none of their teams made the playoff's.

Pedrioa will probably win it. He almost went 20/20 and led the league is runs scored and doubles while tying for the lead in hits.

Maybe K-Rod wins it because of his saves, but who knows.

Morneau seems like a good canadite but then again his power numbers werent there.

Should be intresting to see
