2009 Predictions?

Postby Bwanna » Fri Oct 10, 2008 10:22 am

Any chance we can get a separate 2009 Predictions forum set up (like the currently locked down 2008 Predictions forum)?

A little early I suppose, as the 2008 season isn't even over yet.

There will be all kinds of time for predictions in the winter months when baseball is no longer occupying our time.

The fantasy season is over and the Cubs are out of it. I'm getting antsy.

Besides, look at all this Pedroia talk. We've been making 2009 predictions for a month now.

The first thread in the 2008 Predictions forum is from November so I would suspect the'll get it up and running soon after the baseball playoffs end. I do really enjoy that forum though especially as ST approachs.

Considering these threads are currently at the top of the active threads in 'Baseball Leftovers'...

2009: Thoughts on Auction Values for certain players
2009 FA List and Predictions
Ranking some OF
CBS Sportsline Initial 2009 Ranks: Thoughts?
Thoughts on Volquez's future?
Where should these guys be drafted next year?
early projections for Bruce and the Upton brothers

...I don't think it's too early. :-)

*My* 2008 season(s) are over. :,-(

Yeah I tend to agree. People are making projections in Leftovers ... they might as well be made in Projections forum..

As soon as the fantasy season is over and your favorite team(s) is/are out of the playoffs, there's really nothing else to do.

Edit:
Who will be this year's top players? The hottest teams? The biggest disappointments? Post your bold predictions and projections here. We'll lock it up when the season starts, and it will be here for reference until November 5th, at which point the new predictions forum will open.

Did the admins just edit that in or was that always there?

Yes, Madison just edited that in to screw with everyone... :-b

It's been there.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
